THE WORD OF THE LORD CAME TO ZECHARIAH IN VISIONS Vision 5: Golden lampstand and two olive trees (Zechariah 4:1–14)
Note : A golden lampstand (menorah) once stood in the temple to provide light for the priests who worked in the Holy Place. It was to be tended by the priests daily, in the evening and in the morning (Ex. 27:20–21), so that its light would never cease. 1. Read Zechariah 4:1–14. Describe this vision to help you picture it in your mind. (Draw it if you like.) What was significant about the lampstand’s source of oil in Zechariah’s vision? (See vv. 1–3, 11, and 12.)
2. What “great mountain” faced Zerubbabel (Ezra 4:1–5; Hag. 1:5–6, and 2:4), and what would become of it? (See Zech. 4:7–9; and Hag. 2:7–8.)

HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead or Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Hence, trinity is a word that describes God as one God, three distinct persons. These three are one; they are equal; they are eternal God; they are same in substance but differ in their function.
