Zechariah’s Instructions Regarding the Crown (Zechariah 6:9–15)
Note : During the time of the kings, the offices of priest and king in the nation of Israel were separate. At the time of Zechariah, the Jews had been without a king since they had been taken into exile.
2. Read Zechariah 6:9–11. What would the people have found unusual about the Lord’s instructions to Zechariah?
3. Joshua the high priest is given a crown and is presented symbolically as the future messiah. Fill in the chart and explain the ways in which Jesus Christ, our High Priest, is infinitely better than the former priests.
