DAY 5
Zechariah’s Messages for Israel (Zechariah 8:1–23)
1. Read Zechariah 8:1–8. The Lord says Jerusalem will be restored. Describe the future city of Jerusalem (vv. 3–8).
2. Read Zechariah 8:7–17 and write down God’s promises and commands.
3. At one time the house of Judah had been “a byword of cursing among the nations” (v. 13), but what will be their future status? (See vv. 8–23.)
4. “Thus says the L ord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you’” (8:23). Seeing God with His people, Israel will encourage others.
What about us? How are we the aroma of Christ, representing Him to the world as the hope of glory? (See Col. 1:27.)
