In our pages and on our website, you will find Infor- mation, Education and Inspiration, with a majority of the articles written by members of our “WCN Fam- ily” of contributors. There is something of interest to every member of the family. We hope you are blessed and become a regular reader. WCN seeks, at all times, to publish the TRUTH, regardless of “political correctness,” standing up for America’s historical Christian heritage and urging a return to biblical, moral standards. We offer very thought-provoking commentary, inspired teach- ing, real life testimonies, world, national, state and regional news, plus advice and information from experts in their areas of business and ministry -- all in the various sections of our 48-page newspa- per. In addition to providing valuable content to the Christian community, we focus equally on reach- ing those who are lost and seeking, and those who may have been alienated from church as an institution in the past. You’ll find WCN on the racks in the lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, shopping centers and malls and most Christian book stores. Of course, you can also find a copy at many of our “Ministry Partner” advertisers’ business and ministry locations. This is our outreach to the mar- ketplace, and we receive many wonderful testi- monies from people who have found the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding our newspaper in a public place. Our Doctrinal Statement • There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. • Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was

• The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all na- tions. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. • There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. • The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and pre-mil- lennial. This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service. conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died upon the cross, the just for the unjust, as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. He died, was buried and arose from the dead ac- cording to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on high as our great High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of right- eousness and peace. • The Holy Spirit is sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. • The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as origi- nally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice. • Man was originally created in the image and like- ness of God; he fell through disobedience, incurring, thereby, both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the love of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ. • Salvation has been made available through Jesus Christ for all men; those who repent and be- lieve in Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God. • It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion. • Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the healing of the mor- tal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the church in the present age.

what I’d like to focus on here. Do you realize that the wheel was in- vented in 3,000 BC? If the earth is ap- proximately 6,000 years old, that means it took man a thousand years to invent the wheel. The printing press was in- vented in 1450 AD. That’s a time span of 4,450 years. But it was only 379 years later, in 1829, that the first electric motor was invented. By the 1830s, Samuel Morse invented the telegraph and long-distance communication was now possible using Morse Code. But by 1876, this was already becoming out- dated technology, when the first tele- phone was invented. Twenty-seven years later, in 1903, the Wright Brothers made the first powered flight in the world’s first airplane, al- though man had already taken flight in “gliders” by 1890. Flight became rapidly advanced, with airplanes being used heavily in World War 1 and 2, and of course, then there was the birth of air travel becoming common for regular cit- izens, and then by 1950 jet engines be- came commonplace. And of course, there was the rapid ad- vancement of boats and ships...from Noah’s ark to crude canoes and boats, fishing boats, sailboats powered by wind, then ships built for military use, also first powered by wind, which rap- idly advanced to coal-powered engines. Long distance travel now became possi- ble for the average person on luxury lin- ers. Today we have nuclear submarines, and floating five-star hotels in the form of enormous cruise ships with every amenity you could imagine.

One could spend an entire lifetime in deep study and never fully digest or comprehend all that’s shared with us in the book of Daniel. It’s so richly filled with information, revelations and mys- teries. Admittedly, Daniel can be difficult to understand or interpret, but that doesn’t mean it should be overlooked or that we should remain at the elementary school level of understanding only the Sunday School story of Daniel in the lion’s den. Because this book is infi- nitely more deep and rich. In Daniel 10, we read about Daniel being visited by a heavenly being. This angel told Daniel that his prayers were heard immediately, but the angel was delayed for 21 days, as he wrestled with the demonic “Prince of Persia,” who tried to stop him from getting to Daniel. For those who don’t know, Persia is modern day Iran, and I believe the Prince of Per- sia is still very much active there. And after the angel gave Daniel his message, he stated that he was return- ing to fight the Prince of Persia once more. So, the message he brought — a prophecy of what is to come on the earth, was extremely important and we should pay attention. After telling Daniel about the future, we get to Daniel 12, where we have this: “At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time.

of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.’”

And at that time your people shall be de- livered, every one who is found written in the book. “And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and ever- lasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the fir- mament. And those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” After giving Daniel this prophecy, the angel said, “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; (when) many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” In Daniel 12:8-10, we read Daniel’s re- sponse to the angel: “Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, ‘My lord, what shall be the end of these things?’ And he said, ‘Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed ‘til the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none

Even Daniel did not understand, but was told that at the time of the end, the righteous and wise will understand the words that were “sealed up” — and that time of the end will come when knowl- edge will be increased and many will run to and fro. I think we can all admit, we’d like to know exactly when “the time of the end” will be. Will it be any day now? Will it be in our lifetimes? That’s not for us to know. No one knows the day or the hour, except the Father in heaven. Our job is to faithfully carry out our duties in His name while we’re here, doing the work He’s called and equipped us to do. But as we study God’s Word, we can read the signs of the times we’re living in, and specifically, in addition to great trouble and tribulation, the likes of which no one has seen before or will ever see, we know that knowledge will be increased at the time of the end. That’s

The Ravages of Violence Unfold

By Jim Schneider, Executive Director,

this out. All we need to do is go to the pages of Scrip- ture.

VCY America August 2025

“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, ‘The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with vi- olence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.’” (Genesis 6:5, 11-13). We later read in the Scriptures, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in mar-

A headline from an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel posted July 29, 2025 captured my attention. It read, “Local Rise in Violence Spurs Call for Answers.” The article went on to enumerate the plague of violence hitting “a popular entertainment district in

downtown Milwaukee.” This has spurred the Milwaukee Common Council to convene special committee meetings. The article indicated the violence is spreading outside this district to blocks nearby and has included both fatal and non- fatal shootings. Milwaukee is broken up into various police districts. This partic- ular district, which includes the entertainment venues, has so far, in 2025, tabulated six homicides and 20 nonfatal shootings. This is just one district in the city and these numbers represent twice as much as the year previous. Members of the Common Council want to hear directly from the police to “relay what they observe, what they think the problems are and what the cause is of this vi- olent behavior.” Milwaukee is not alone with the scourge of violence taking place. In recent days there was a mass stabbing perpetrated by an indi- vidual wielding a knife and targeting unsuspecting shoppers at a Wal-Mart in Traverse City, Michigan. In downtown Cincinnati, The Enquirer reported of “a fight breaking out in a crowd. People threw punches, kicked and jeered as a man on the ground tried to fend off blows and a woman tumbled to the concrete, bloody, and dis- oriented.” This occurred while many onlookers refused to inter- vene, and rather documented on their cellphones what was taking place. The police chief indicated that while 100 got out their cam- eras to film, only one called 9-1-1. Recently in Virginia, a Danville City Council member was doused with gasoline and set on fire. In Arkansas a man killed parents in front of their daughters at Devil’s Den State Park. He was charged with capital murder. In Colorado, a dentist was found guilty of mur- dering his wife. The investigation unfolded the plot used to poison her. In New York City, a man wearing body armor shot and killed multiple individuals. In Ohio, officers were ambushed while eating

their pizza lunch and shot. One of them was killed. In Springfield, Oregon two officers were stabbed by an individual. In cities across the country and around the world many have been killed or injured by drivers deliberately driving their vehicle into crowded sites.

riage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the com- ing of the Son of man be.” (Matthew 24:37-39). Just as violence dominated the earth during the time of Noah, the Scriptures warn that this intense level of violence will once again return. We must not be ignorant of what is unfolding before our eyes. If ever there was a clarion call to return to the God of the Word and advance the Gospel, it is now. It is imperative for us to repent of our sins (personal and national), to turn to the Savior and to reach a world entrapped in a spiritual crisis. Recently the Freedom From Religion Foundation issued a press release in which they stated, “The Freedom From Religion Foun- dation is raising a red flag over the resurgence of a Bible study group featuring senior U.S. officials, including members of Presi- dent Trump’s cabinet.” There can be no question that the problem is NOT that people are going to the Bible. The problem is that people have been turning FROM the Bible. May this serve as yet another wakeup call for the body of Christ to be salt and light to a world in great spiritual need. May we with effort and fervency renew our commitment before the Lord in such a time as this! VCY.org

Political violence is also escalating as certain legislators have encouraged their followers to “take it to the streets.”

While pages could follow enumerating such violence, let us broaden this violence to another level. Antisemitism has exploded across the United States and around the world as Jews have been targeted by those chanting to “Globalize the intifada” as they seek to eradicate Jews from the face of the earth. Increasingly the chants are intensifying, “Death to Israel…Death to America!” Additionally, the extreme violence taking place in the womb con- tinues. Pre-born babies are targeted daily. Over one-half million pre-born babies have died this year alone in the United States. The death toll is approaching 67 million babies gone since 1973. In cities across the United States and nations around the world, we see the ravages of violence unfolding, escalating and intensi- fying. Harkening back to the Milwaukee situation, city leaders are trou- bled (many are the same individuals who support violence in the womb.) They want answers. Why is this happening? What is the cause? We really don’t need special city council meetings to figure

(38%) disagree. There are political divides as well on the topic of transgender issues. Incredibly, two thirds (67%) of Democrats believe that a person should be able to legally self-identify as a gender different from the one he was assigned at birth. Far fewer Inde- pendents (33%) and Republicans (17%) share this view.

the existence of the nation-state. World government proponents believe that the nation-state defies the in- herent unity or oneness of the human race. Decades ago, this writer was an undergraduate at the Univer- sity of Pennsylvania, and while walking with a chem- istry professor, Charles Price, across campus, the professor asked me if I had heard of the United World Federation, which he was president of. His goal was that the U.N. would become our one world govern- ment.

The “big lie” is the name of a propaganda technique, originally coined by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf (1925), who wrote, “The great masses of the people ... will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one.” Sixteen years later, Hitler’s propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels, actively promoted the big lie as the key principle of the Nazi propaganda machine.

On this issue, there is a clear biological and scien-

Sadly, lying has become so commonplace in our society that the truth often appears or is portrayed as a lie, and out- right lies are given legitimacy by many of our political lead- ers, our courts, our institutions of higher education, and our re- ligious institutions. In short, tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of people are living in a lie-filled and lie-believing state of mind. There has been a dramatic decline in church and syna- gogue attendance. U.S. church membership was 73% when Gallup first measured it in 1937 and remained near 70%

I had read the United Na- tions Declaration of Universal Human Rights, which was published and signed by the U.N. member-states at the end of World War 2, and there was no mention of world govern- ment in that document. Rather, the word “rights” was emphasized in almost every section. As an American, I had come to understand “rights” as belonging first and foremost to individuals, and that through the U.N., after World War 2, the USA was in a better position to share that vision with the rest of the world. However, after many

for the next six decades before beginning a steady decline around the turn of the 21st century. It has since been between 63% and 37%, with those not in attendance professing no particular religious prefer- ence. Thus, growing millions of people are now be- lieving the lie that there is no God, or at least have taken the agnostic position. This is a dismal rejection of the truth that the uni- verse and our world in particular were created by a Supreme Being and that we owe Him worship, honor, and thanksgiving, for the moral law at the very least, and ultimately for the salvation of our souls. The noticeable emptying out of many churches is evidence that belief in God is on the wane and that denial is a rapidly spreading lie. Imagine: There are growing millions who believe we evolved from a Big Bang or from amoebae or from primates even though there is not one piece of fossil evidence of an inter- mediate stage between monkeys and humans. The creation narrative is deemed a myth because of the general credibility of science based on its achieve- ments, but there is no verifiable paradigm or con- trolled experiment that can lend any credibility to the creation hypotheses offered by science. Do I need science to know that a chair is not the floor? In a par- allel cognitive format, do I need science to know the difference between the human self and the One who created that self? Denial of the latter is a lie. In a survey taken only two years ago, it was found that 57% of American adults believe that gender is based on the sex “assigned” at birth, whereas 43% say a person could change his gender later in life. Two in five Americans (40%) think a person should be able to legally self-identify as a gender different from the one assigned at birth, whereas just as many

tific standard. Females all have XX chromosomes, and males all have XY chromosomes. Males might enjoy dressing up as women or assigning themselves women’s names or taking puberty-blockers, but they remain males. The same applies to females. Gender is not assigned at birth, but is a biological reality des- ignated on birth certificates. Any other basis for “des- ignation” is a lie. Further, the Bible declares homosexuality a sin and therefore inconsistent with faith in God. The lie may be the result of a strong delusion, or it may be purposeful or cynical. But a lie is a lie. In 2 Thessalonians 3, we read, “For this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. ... Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.” The acceptance of the distortions produced by gen- der “identity” has become another sufficiently popular lie that has disrupted U.S. relations with societies around the world by disrupting our credibility. Insist- ing on lies is incompatible with leadership, although in the short run, it may have appeal to certain seg- ments of the population.

years, the U.N. changed its focus from rights to world governance in its Agenda 2015, which was updated to its Agenda 2030, where “meeting needs” became a central concept (not unlike the Communist Mani- festo of 1848) as well as global governance. The shift from promoting and enhancing rights to meeting needs as the legitimate basis for government and for world government is another lie promoted to demote and derogate the worth of the individual. The American principle is that the state is upheld by and exists to promote the worth of the individual. It is not that the individual exists to justify and uphold the ex- istence and worth of the state. That reversal is the third lie this essay seeks to expose. The centrality of the individual is the unique American gift to the world and to Western civilization. Europe, since the French Revolution, has been drawn to different forms of sta- tism rather than toward individualism, and thus that difference between Europe and the U.S. remains a tension within Western civilization. If we reject the lies delineated in this article, we will have the basis for moving forward successfully into the future.

The final lie to be discussed is the lie that the brother - hood and sisterhood of human- ity is de- nied by

American Dream Dies, Bankruptcy Filings Surge

By USNewsMag.com August 2025

a well-connected political donor, you’re ex- posed.

Bankruptcy courts and legal aid offices are stretched to their limits, forced to triage the fallout. Creditors are tightening their stan- dards, making it even harder for struggling families to get a break. Small businesses are closing their doors, taking jobs and commu- nity stability with them. The ripple effects will be felt for years, as credit dries up, borrowing costs climb, and the American Dream slips

The reality for countless Americans in 2025 is a bitter financial hangover. After years of government overspending, inflationary mad- ness, and policies that rewarded everyone but working citizens, bankruptcy courts are now overflowing. In the first half of 2025 alone, fil- ings shot up by 10% from the same period

Inflation, Debt, and the Disastrous Legacy of Government Overreach What’s fueling this economic train wreck? It’s not a mystery — just ask any American who’s tried to buy groceries or fill up their gas tank. Persistent inflation has eroded real in-

further out of reach for the mid- dle class. Meanwhile, the so- called “solutions” offered by the last administration did nothing but kick the can down the road, leaving a mountain of debt and a legacy of broken promises. Every day, more Americans are learning firsthand what hap- pens when government puts ideology over common sense and fiscal responsibility. Analysts Warn: Economic Pain Will Persist Without Real Change Industry experts and legal professionals are sounding the alarm: this surge in bankruptcy filings is just the beginning un-

last year. That’s 276,126 Amer- icans and businesses forced to wave the white flag — 11.5% more than a year ago, and the largest increase since the initial COVID-19 fallout. Chapter 7 fil- ings rose a staggering 15%, while Chapter 13 was up 3% — all pointing to a nation suffocat- ing under the weight of debt and economic mismanagement. The so-called experts who promised “transitory inflation” have gone silent as ordinary people are left to pick up the pieces. Personal bankruptcies are just the tip of the iceberg. Small businesses — the backbone of Main Street — are being

crushed by surging interest rates and dwin- dling consumer spending. Commercial Chap- ter 11 filings spiked 62% in May before a brief dip in June, underscoring a volatile and hos- tile business environment. Pandemic-era re- lief programs are ancient history, and with student loan payments back in full swing, even those who once felt secure are now tee- tering on the edge. The collapse isn’t limited to a few unlucky sectors; it’s everywhere: re- tail, hospitality, local services — if you’re not a government-subsidized megacorporation or

comes, while the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hikes — meant to clean up the mess — have made it impossible for families and busi- nesses to keep up with loan payments. Con- sumer and business debt have hit record highs, and delinquencies on credit cards and auto loans are now at multi-year peaks. The government’s one-size-fits-all approach — endless money printing, open checkbooks for special interests, and a total disregard for the consequences — has failed spectacularly. Now, with student loan repayments resumed

less the fundamentals change. Data from Epiq AACER and the American Bankruptcy Institute — two of the most respected author- ities in the field — paint a grim picture. “Ele- vated interest rates, record-high credit card and household debt, and the resumption of student loan repayments and collections are all contributing factors driving more individ- uals to seek bankruptcy protection,” says Michael Hunter of Epiq AACER. Legal ana- lysts add that as long as inflation stays high and wage growth lags behind, bankruptcy rates are set to climb even higher. The only certainty is more pain, more closures, and more families forced to make impossible choices, unless policymakers finally put American citizens and fiscal sanity first. For those on Main Street, this isn’t just a statistic — it’s a daily battle for survival. The experts may argue over the details, but every- one agrees on one thing: the economic storm unleashed by years of reckless government policy is far from over, and its casualties are piling up from coast to coast.

and no relief in sight, millions are out of options. This is not just a “cycle” or a blip; it is the in- evitable result of policies that priori- tized political virtue- signaling, handouts to non-citizens, and the expansion of gov- ernment power over the prosperity of everyday Americans.

Knowledge Increasing (Continued from Page 3)

The first crude automobile — a self-propelled vehicle — came about in 1770 with a “steam-powered carriage.” In 1880, Karl Benz, a Ger- man engineer, built the first lightweight, three-wheeled motorcar, powered by gaso- line. And by the early 1900s, cars as we know them today started to be- come commonplace. Within just 20 years, and with Henry Ford making cars af- fordable for the average per- son, the horse and buggy were quickly being replaced. I could also mention the development of railroads, but suffice to say, people are now easily able to go “to and fro” — we have supersonic air travel, luxury cruise ships, and automobiles are now simply taken for granted. And the average new car today has more technology built into it that most can comprehend, in- cluding GPS for navigation and radar to avoid colli- sions. The first microprocessor was invented in 1971, paving the way for electronic devices and personal com- puters. I remember when the first hand-held calcula- tor was invented. It cost a fortune. Now you can get them at the dollar store. Within 20 years, the World Wide Web had been in- vented, leading to the devel- opment of social media, e-commerce and all that the internet entails. I can also remember, when I was a young child, we had a “party line” for our tele- phone. You might pick up the phone to make a call and find one of your neigh- bors having a conversation with someone else and you’d need to wait your turn. But cell phones became com- monplace in the 1990s, and by 2007 the amazingly stun- ning features of the first iPhone were shown to the world. With this device, you could not only make calls, but send text messages with a more normal keypad, you could store your music col- lection on it, access the in- ternet, and it even became your camera. Little did we realize that those cell phones would quickly be- come our “slave trackers” that people would take with them everywhere they went. And not only carry them everywhere voluntarily, but they’d panic if somehow, they forgot them.

The first AM radio broad- casts were government mes- sages sent out in the early 1900s. The invention of vacuum tubes brought radio into ordinary people’s homes in the 1920s. Then, fre- quency-modulated radio, or FM radio for short, was in- vented in 1933. Meanwhile, the first practical use of tel- evision happened in 1927. Three years later, we had the first TV commercial broad- cast, and the BBC began regular TV transmissions. There were only 200 televi- sion sets in use in the world in 1936, but by the 1940s, cable TV was introduced to rural areas, and by the ‘50s, most homes in America had given up radio for television. When I was young, we had three channels to choose from. Four, if you counted PBS, which aired on UHF frequency and was often hard to tune in. Today, most homes are equipped with SMART TVs, and over- the-air broadcasting is still in use, but only by about 14% of the population. Most today either use cable or satellite TV services, with hundreds of channels avail- able, or some form of inter- net streaming service with literally thousands of op- tions for programming. And speaking of the in- crease in knowledge, we’re no longer limited to getting information from newspa- pers, radio and television broadcasts. Today, we can access information on liter- ally any topic through the internet or our hand-held phones instantly, with mil- lions of websites, main- stream and alternative news media, and countless plat- forms with a variety of con- tent from news and information to an infinite number of specialized top- ics. We can also send mes- sages around the world in- stantly through texting and email. We can even “video chat” with people on the other side of the world in real time, instantly. I’ve read that in 1900, human knowledge doubled every 100 years. By the end of 1945, the rate had come down to every 25 years, and by 1982, our knowledge doubled every 13 months. I’ve also read that within the coming year, and through the use of Artificial Intelli- gence, which is rapidly ex- panding, human knowledge will double every twelve

hours!

Degrees and Ph.D.s that don’t have even an ounce of common sense. But we can be assured of this, because we find it in the only source of truth that still exists in this world — God’s Holy Word: “The fear of the Lord is

the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Amen! Email: Rob@WisconsinChristianNews.com Phone: (715) 486-8066

I can’t comprehend the rapid advancement of knowledge in the world. But knowledge is not really knowledge when people are using AI. In my research, I’ve discovered that many college students today are using AI to do their assign- ments. For example, they may need a 15-page re- search report, which would take many weeks to study, research, and write. Today, they can simply tell “AI” to write the report — on any specialized topic — and in less than a minute, they’ll have a fully com- pleted article, documented with footnotes and sources...which they’ve not only not researched them- selves, but in many cases, they’ve never even read the article they turn in for a grade. College professors can no longer tell the dif- ference between work the student has done and work the student used AI to complete. Today the so-called “elite” want to include human minds in the “Internet of Things.” They’re talking about brain implants to connect human beings with Artificial Intelligence. Might this be how Satan and his demons will be able to once again turn “every thought of every man only evil all the time?” Understand that Satan is not omnipresent and is not omnipotent. But by con- necting all of mankind into a supercomputer artificial “brain,” there will be no more private thoughts, no more critical thinking. In fact, no need for anyone to think at all. AI will do our thinking for us, and very likely, individuals tied into this system won’t be al- lowed to think. It’s truly mind-boggling when you think how much knowledge has increased just in the past 100 years, and how exponentially it continues to increase. Just about anything you purchase today becomes “outdated technology” within just a few months, or even a few weeks. But friends, always re- member, “knowledge” isn’t really knowledge if we don’t understand what we’re dealing with. And cer- tainly, knowledge is not wisdom. There are many highly educated college graduates with Master’s

Wisconsin Christian News Is Reader Supported — Can You Spare $1 a Day to Join the Team?

Have you been blessed by picking up a copy of Wisconsin Christian News from a news rack in a public place? Do you appreciate the hard-hitting, thought provoking commentary, in- spired Bible teaching, and relevant (and truthful) news from around the world? Do you appreciate the fact that we pub- lish the TRUTH — whether it’s “politi- cally correct” or not? Do you like that we stand up for America’s historical Christian heritage, even as we urge a return to the moral, biblical standards that our nation once cherished? Wisconsin Christian News is a coop- erative effort by active Christ-followers from all walks of life. In our pages and on our website, you’ll find Information, Education and Inspiration, with a ma- jority of the articles written by members of our “WCN family” of contributors. WE HAVE SOME OF THE BEST CHRIS- TIAN WRITERS IN THE NATION IN OUR PAGES, FROM ALL OVER THE

COUNTRY — AND WCN IS NOT JUST FOR WISCONSIN! We have subscribers in all fifty states, distribute nationally, and our website is used by people WORLDWIDE! But while we provide valuable content to the Christian community, our real focus is on reaching those who are lost and seeking, or those who have been alienated from “church” as an institu- tion in the past. And especially those who have never heard the Good News of the Gospel of Christ, or have walked away from their faith and have contin- ued searching. The “free” copies you’ll find on the racks in lobbies of grocery stores, family restaurants, truck stops, bookstores, li- braries, hotels and other public places are our OUTREACH to those who oth- erwise would never get the truth of God’s Word or the truth of what’s really going on in our world today.

paper, however, the revenue from our ads doesn’t come anywhere close to covering the enormous financial needs, which we must raise every month. For several years now, WCN has only been able to continue through the generous financial support of individuals — true Christ-followers who understand and support the ministry work we do. We are nearly 100% Reader Sup- ported now, yet of the thousands of copies we provide out in the public square, far fewer than 1% of those who pick a copy up every month ever send any type of support. This has now be- come unsustainable. Some have suggested we become an “online only” publication. But we hope you understand, if we were to do that, only those who are already Christians and who would go to our website pur- posely, would ever see it. This is why our print edition is VITAL — whereas

Every month, we distribute thousands of copies of Wisconsin Christian News free of charge, made available in public news racks. We also provide compli- mentary copies to jail inmates, shut- ins, and hospital patients. This is our ministry to those who are lost, hurting, confused and seeking the truth. We’ve had wonderful testimonies from people who have come to know the Lord for the first time, or returned to Him, after many years away, after finding and reading our newspaper in a public place. This is our outreach — and it truly is a ministry — our mission. But it costs a great deal of money to do this, and while we constantly receive requests for even MORE copies in these public areas, the costs to produce and distribute our printed newspaper con- tinue to rise every month.

We do have advertisements in the

a Bible tract or book handed to someone could easily be tossed aside, because we’re in newspa- per format, thousands of people pick up WCN each month — of their own freewill, because they want it! What better way to reach the unsaved, than for THEM to choose to pick up our newspaper on their own, be- cause something on our front page caught their attention? Then, eyes are opened and hearts and lives are changed. Very likely, we reach more un- saved souls out in public with God’s Word and truth in a sin- gle month than the average church will reach in its entire existence. This is not “boast- ing,” but rather the simple truth. Thus, we must maintain our print edition . This work is more vital now than ever before. Especially in this age of dis-in- formation and mis-information, political “spin” and radical left- ist “journalism.” But if Wisconsin Christian News is to continue as a print publication, available by sub- scription to Christians, as well as those thousands of free copies we place in public to reach the lost, we NEED YOUR HELP today! Please consider becoming a monthly Supporting Member of our ministry team. While so many readily fund overseas missionaries, THIS is a mis- sion right here in your own backyard, where it’s so des- perately needed. We’re asking for your help, and believe everybody can do something. Can you spare just $1 a day on a regular basis to assure WCN remains in print? Even less — $25 a month on a regular basis — would be a huge help if enough new sup- porters come alongside us. But if you’re truly not able to help fi- nancially, we ask that you please help prayerfully. With- out your help, we will not be able to continue this essential outreach much longer. Please prayerfully consider what YOU can and will do today, to make sure WCN is still there next month. Thank you, and God bless you.

Secular ‘Christianity’

dom of God is within you.’”

Webster’s defines “sec- ular” as: “Pertaining to the present world, or to things not spiritual or holy; relating to things not immediately or pri- marily respecting the soul, but the body; worldly.” The Apostle Paul called it “a form of godliness denying the power thereof…” In fact, he considered it so damaging that he exhorted believers that “from such turn away.” Just a warning…this will not be a feel- good article. If you’re an Evanjellyfish you might want to stop reading right now. By the way, for those of you in the back row, an Evanjellyfish is a Christian with- out a backbone. Most American churches are populated with them. They are the mutant children produced by the false prosperity gospel. You know…the “name it and claim it” crew with the big church and the media-star pastor.

What? The

Kingdom is within the be- liever? Is that why Jesus told us “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” Stop right now and read John 3.

satellites produced a secularized, hu- manistic version of Christianity.

Read it again. They were new BELIEV- ERS…but they had no power. The Holy Spirit IS THE POWER! In fact, Paul asked a group of new believers in Acts 19, “Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, ‘We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.’” Sounds like most denominations today. I was having a discussion the other day with a man who was singing the praises of his “Holy Ghost” filled church.

The world sits in the midst of perilous times. Only Christ and His Followers can right the ship. The world is waiting on us. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be com- pared with the glory which shall be re- vealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifesta- tion of the sons of God.” “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

(I warned you. It’s not too late to quit reading.)

“Pardon me…Holy Ghost filled?” I

asked. “Is there any other kind?”

Christianity is not a religion. Islam is a religion. So is Buddhism…and Confus- cianism…Humanism…Republicanism… Mr. Webster defined religion as “perfor- mance of the duties we owe directly to God, from a principle of obedience to His will.” Christianity is different from the scores of “religions” in the world in that it is the only “religion” that believes in and pro- motes the possibility of a PERSONAL re- lationship with our Creator through an indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Hence, Christianity is a RELATIONSHIP with our CREATOR…not a religion. But men turned it into a religion… hence the nearly 44,000 different CHRIS- TIAN versions of how Christianity is to be lived out. Jesus told us that it was nec- essary for us to be “born again.” In fact, He told us “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

The American Church has become sec- ularized — powerless to EXPAND the Kingdom of God — nothing more than a “Christian” social club. Jesus told a group of new believers in the book of Acts, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Is there real power in your faith? Are you a witness to Christ everywhere you go? In the book of ACTS, the new believers were ac- cused of “turning the world upside down.” Where is the power of God today?
