Nowhere in Scripture is there any reference to man born with a sin na- ture; but born as a nat- ural man without the ability to distinguish be- tween the knowledge of good and the knowledge
of evil, except by the Spirit of God, from our Father in heaven. Read John 8:12-47.
Verses 31-33 state, “If ye continue in My word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The Pharisees an- swered, we “were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?” Jesus replied that their bondage was specifically to sin, (verses 34, 36, 40, 47) “the servant of sin… If the Son there- fore shall make you free ye shall be free indeed… But ye seek to kill me… because ye are not of God.” Jesus further explains that our thoughts do not originate with ourselves in verses 38-47. They originate only from one of two sources! “I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. (They said) Abraham is our father. Jesus (then said) If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye (truly) do the deeds of your father. Then said they to Him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.” This reminds me of a comment a man once said to me, “I believe in God and Satan, but I don’t mess with either one.” That is impossible!
by shifting their faith to other gods, they have seared their conscience to the knowl- edge of the truth that we have all been given (John 1:9). (Hebrews 3:11) “So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.” There comes a point to where the shifting of our faith will take us to the place described in Romans 1:19-28, where God gives us “over to a reprobate mind.” Read Hebrews 3:12-19. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing (a shift- ing faith) from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin,” shifting your faith as they did in the wilderness. “With whom was He grieved forty years?” but with them that had sinned. Of all who came out of Egypt, only Joshua and Caleb en- tered into the land of promise. Unbelief prevents one from being forgiven, as well as preventing one from forgiving others! (Verse 14) “For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.”
not… He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, be- cause ye are not of God.” The conclusion to what Jesus said is; Our bondage is to sin, if we are listening to our father the devil. We become free only by listening to our Father in heaven, calling us to “repentance and forgiveness” (Luke24:47). That is why Jesus said in John14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” As sinners, we are in bondage to sin, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23), by listening to our father the devil. The writer of He- brews 3:7-11 states of the Holy Spirit; “Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as (they did) in the provoca- tion, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me (God), proved me, and saw my works (of grace) forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with their generation, and said, They do always err in their heart: and they have not known my ways.” Why? Be-
