are not only standing, but are “growing In grace and in the knowledge and love of God.” A number of such we see quite often, and. by letter and other ' means of communication we hear of others from time to time. We exhort the prayers of all that those whom we cannot follow may be led out by the Holy Spirit into a life of real victory and usefulness. Pray also that a real revival may be manifested at Yoke Fellow’s Hall.— Wm. Mullen, Superinten dent. Unión Church as pastor, with delight on his part for the privilege. And with attested acceptance and hearty response from the people. If comparisons can be drawn concerning the importance of one portion of work over another in the ministry, the work at San Quentin prison is by far the most impor tant in its far-reaching influence. Fifty- three classes have been held in the prison chapel with an average attendance of 175 each week, many of the men testifying to the value of the teaching by such sayings as: “ This has shown me the importance of the Bible message as I never saw it be fore” ; “My whole perspective in life has undergone a radical change since I nave at tended these Bible study lessons.” Many of the men have testified to not missing one lesson since the first one. Children and parents have been reconciled, and many sons have sent word to mothers who didn’t even know where they were, telling of their attitude toward Mother’s God, and their determina tion to live for HIM. Besides this number less ones have gone out, to face the world with an avowal to live square, serve God and be honest toward all men. Boys are in terested in the Word of God as well as men. Class work has been conducted in the fol lowing places for a period of fourteen weeks, one night each week: San Rafael, average attendance, 40; Redwood City, 45; Richmond, 48; Santa Rosa, 40; Sausalito, 20; Melrose, 60; Elmhurst, 40; two classes in Oakland, with 25 and 20; two classes in San Francisco at the Rescue missions with attendance of from 45 to 100 each week. Besides this the writer has supplied pulpits and addressed gatherings in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Richmond, San Rafael, Sausalito, Redwood, San Jose, Los Altos, and been sought by many who had prob lems that they were desirous of presenting to him for counsel and advice and prayer.
