Clarita Mejias and Estela Dumanot: Shangri- La Abu Dhabi’s Stars at the 2024 BMW Berlin Marathon The 2024 BMW Berlin Marathon , held on September 29, marked its 50th anniversary with exceptional performances and a record-breaking turnout. A total of 58,212 runners from 161 countries participated, setting a new participation record for the event. We are incredibly proud to highlight the achievements of two of our colleagues from Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi who took part in this iconic event: Clarita Mejias from Human Resources and Estela Dumanot from Housekeeping . Their dedication to fitness and personal challenges was on full display as they represented our team at this global sporting event. Clarita and Estela took on the full 42 km marathon , tackling the challenging course that wove through Berlin’s most iconic landmarks. From the majestic Brandenburg Gate to the lively Alexanderplatz, the picturesque Tiergarten, and the historic Unter den Linden, the marathon route provided a stunning mix of Berlin’s rich history and modernity. Despite the challenges, Clarita and Estela’s perseverance and determination shone through as they pushed forward to complete the race. Their participation in the 2024 BMW Berlin Marathon is a true reflection of their strength, resilience, and the spirit of excellence we hold dear at Shangri-La Abu Dhabi. We are inspired by their achievements and congratulate them both for representing our team in such an incredible way.
