If you’re suffering from sciatica, you might feel the discomfort anywhere along this nerve pathway. The pain can even extend to the calf. The pain itself can be dull, aching or even sharp. Looking for a last minute hostess gift to bring to a holiday party this weekend? I have just the idea for you; HOLIDAY TRAIL MIX. Homemade trail mix is a healthy and delicious alternative to the abundance of cookies, candy and baked goods often handed out at the holidays. This mix is a wonderful balance of healthy fats carbohydrates and protein that can help stabilize your blood sugar and best of all – help control sugar cravings! Trail Mix has always been a favorite snack at our house and this year I decided to “HOLIDAY” it up a bit and give it out as gifts to neighbors and friends. I added a touch of color with green and red candies and packaged it up in a re-usable glass container

• 1/4 cup holiday colored M+M’s • 1/2 cup mini pretzels or whole grain cereal (this is a great add-in for athletes as it provides additional carbohydrates)
