PAXTON PERFORMS March 7 Guitarist and folk singer Tom Paxton has contributed to the soundtrack of our lives for almost 50 years. He’ll be performing at Sanibel Island’s BIG Arts Schein Performance Hall. Paxton may include his modern standards such as Ramblin’ Boy, Bottle of Wine or The Marvelous Toy, as well as his 1964 timeless hit, The Last Thing on My Mind. Honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from ASCAP and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the BBC in London, Paxton’s songs have resonated with audiences around the world. Concert begins at 8PM, March 7, and tickets are $37 for general seating ($42 Loge) and $5 for students and children. REGALING IN RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN March 7 The Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra presents The Sound of Musicals, a rendition of the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein featuring The Symphonic Chorale of Southwest Florida and Conductor Leif Bjaland. MICHAEL BOLTON March 18 Singer and songwriter Michael Bolton has produced million-selling albums and amassed international acclaim, numerous Grammy Awards, ASCAP Awards and American Music Awards and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. VINCE GILL & AMY GRANT March 20 With multiples honors as a top vocalist, double distinction as an Entertainer of the Year and more Grammy Awards than any other performer in his genre (in fact 20). As a solo artist, he has sold millions of albums and collaborated with other leading legends in the industry, but no collaboration more important than that with his wife, Amy Grant (an actress, author and musician whose artistry has earned six Grammy Awards). Vince Gill will lead a concert, which includes a special appearance by Amy Grant, at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, 7:30PM, on March 20.
