PETTY & MARTIN DO HANK & PATSY March 21 Obie Award-winner Jason Petty and Grammy Nominee Carolyn Martin offer a musical tribute to country legends Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Honored with an Outstanding Actor Obie for “ Hank Williams: Lost Highway ,” the New York Post suggested Petty didn’t simply impersonate Williams, but channeled his spirit. Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame Inductee Carolyn Martin has been nominated for two Grammy awards as part of the renowned Western swing band, The Time Jumpers. Concert begins at 8PM, March 21, at BIG Arts Schein Performance Hall. Tickets are $42 for general seating ($47 Loge) and $5 for students and kids.

ASIAN ARTISTRY February 9 - 10 Shen Yun translates to “the beauty of heavenly beings dancing” is the name of a production that has been thrilling audiences through the course of a 100- city tour. With its exquisite, backdrops, choreography, acrobatics, and musical renditions by a full orchestra, it’s “a feast for your eyes, a feast for your ears and a feast for your heart”. Shen Yun will be staged at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall (13350 Edison Parkway) in Fort Myers, 7:00pm on February 9, 2PM and 7:30PM on February 10. LEAVING LAS VEGAS February 15 The Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre is dedicated to preserving and presenting the works of generations of great artists, choreographers and teachers. Dancers will demonstrate the elegance, grace, discipline and dignity of their craft in a production at BIG Arts Schein Performance Hall on Sanibel Island, 7:30PM, February 15. MEMORABLY MOMENTOUS March 1 Dance Alliance, the resident company of The Alliance for the Arts, celebrates its fifth anniver- sary by restaging favorite works and innovative new choreography by company members and guest artists. The performance entitled “Momentum and Memories” will feature “The Four Seasons” set to composer Max Richter’s re-imagining of Antion Lucio Vivaldi’s classic; the haunting “House of Illu- sion”; and “Storms,” a fusion of African and modern dance.
