ERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Janice Grutta has been named title of-
insurance agency that protects the interests of lenders and purchasers of residential, commercial, re-use and industrial real estate proper- ties. Aone-source solution for real estate purchases, refinances and leasehold transactions, the agency also is a designated qualified inter- mediary for 1031 exchange trans- actions through its subsidiary, First Bergen Deferred Exchange LLC. Prior to joining First Bergen, Grutta served as a title officer at two Bergen County based title in- surance firms where she reviewed all property titles and oversaw title insurance policy production. She also previously worked for First Bergen’s predecessor firm,
Commonwealth Land Title Insur- ance Company, formerly based in Ridgewood. “Janice brings tremendous depth of experience investigating titles, determining irregularities that may affect transactions and serving as a liaison with our entire customer base, including attorneys, lenders, homebuilders and real estate de- velopers,” said Meccia. “We wel- come her to First Bergen, where she will contribute toward our company’s commitment to raising the bar for title insurance protec- tion and settlement services.” Amagna cum laude graduate of Montclair State University, Grutta also completed graduate-level classes at Rutgers University.
