Elevate February 2025 | Air Serbia

Following an inspiring year-long journey around the Western Bal- kans and to Berlin and back, the Imagine Dignity exhibitions are set to arrive at Belgrade’s Museum of Applied Arts on 13 th February. On the museum’s ground floor, Coral Reef: Regenerative Design in- vites visitors to immerse themselves in a nature-inspired explora- tion of sustainable and regenerative design solutions. While this coral reef installation can be appreciated as an artwork, it also in- vites deeper engagement with design research. This exhibition has been curated by Lotte Kristoferitsch (EOOS EOOS Social Design) and Harald Gründl (IDRV - Institute of Design Research Vienna). On the first floor, 100 Ideas for the Western Balkans: Belgrade Un- derground builds an archive and toolbox of innovative ideas, both practical and metaphorical, featuring global participants, next-gen- eration architects and urban designers. This exhibition, curated by Urbanthinktank_next (Hubert Klumpner and Michael Walczak), pre- sents a transferable concept with many design solutions and ideas that can be applied to the Western Balkans and Belgrade. As these two exhibitions under one roof begin approaching their conclusion, the focus shifts to another cornerstone of sustainable culture: fine arts, within the framework of IMAGINE DIGNITY – Labo- ratories of Hope: Regenerating Democratic Prosperity. Beginning on 7 th March, MoCAB will invite audiences to ponder The Future of Melancholia—an exploration of art’s role in shaping our understanding of the future. This showcase, featuring an exchange between Austrian and Serbian contemporary and historical artists,

will be on display until June 2025 at two locations in Belgrade (Mo- CAB Salon and the Gallery-Legacy of Milica Zorić & Rodoljub Čolak- ović) and one in Graz (HALLE FÜR KUNST Steiermark). With the initiative Imagine Dignity – Arts & Ideas, the Culture for Future programme has become a cornerstone of Austria’s interna- tional cultural policy. The word “IMAGINE” expresses the ambition to overcome the current crisis of imagination through artistic vi- sions, while “DIGNITY” was chosen as the first overarching theme. Beyond human dignity, it also encompasses the dignity of nature and its species.
