Broadening Horizons in the Chemical Sciences

Farzana Patel Tolling Production Manager

After completing her studies in 2015 (Chemical and Pharmaceutics with industrial placement year BSc), Farzana worked in Pharmaceutical industry and Medical devices initially as an R&D Chemist and then moving into a compliance role supporting audits and aligning procedures with quality requirements. Following this, Farzana moved into the Chemical industry working for William Blythe where she was working as a Production Chemist. This role involved production support, scale up of product manufacture, troubleshooting product quality and technical issues and working closely with supply chain and other functions to meet customer needs. This end-to-end production experience helped to gain experience which supports her current role in Syngenta as a Tolling Production Manager where she is responsible for managing processes and relationships with multiple third-party production sites which produce Syngenta products.

Outside of work, Farzana is a female boxing coach and creates and sells Arabic Calligraphy art pieces alongside hosting workshops & art events.
