I completed my undergraduate degree at Swansea University and am now undertaking a PhD. My University experience has been fantastic. I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my course and have received many unforgettable experiences and made life-long friends whilst studying here. The literature and historical modules have also enabled me to deepen my knowledge of Wales and its culture, as well as develop many transferrable skills such as analytical, organisation, time management writing skills.

I chose American Studies and History because the course at Swansea seemed tailor made for me, with modules covering the themes and historical time periods that I was most interested in. The student experience has been incredible. I’ve made many new friends and have got to know my tutors well too. One of the best things about my university experience so far has been the people! I’d absolutely recommend the course because there’s just so much to enjoy and such variety in topics to choose from.

As an international student, being part of such a great and supportive university environment only added to the experience and made my overall transition that much smoother. I fully immersed myself in the course, university and city and went on to complete both undergraduate and postgraduate study within the media department.
