English as a Second Language (ESL) Alliance for Lifelong Learning can help you improve your English speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. To Register: Step 1: Go to oakton.edu/adulted Click on English as a Second Language and complete the pre-registration form. After that, you will receive a link to a registration form. Step 2: Complete the registration form. We will contact you to schedule a placement test. Step 3: Take the placement test. Step 4: Check your email for your class schedule and details before class. Free ESL Classes* About the ESL Program • Teaches listening, speaking, reading, writing, and conversation skills • Introduces students to U.S. culture • Designed for adults 16 years and older whose native language is not English and who are not enrolled in high school. • ESL classes are not intended for tourists and short-term visitors, but for those who live in the U.S. Note: Au Pairs are only eligible for our Supplemental ESL classes (tuition required). Per ICCB (Illinois Community College Board) regulations, au pairs are required to take post-secondary classes and cannot enroll in Oakton’s free ESL classes. They may, however, enroll in the College’s low-cost tuition classes (see Supplemental ESL Classes below) For more information, call 847.635.1426 or email our office at adulted@oakton.edu.
