The Mission of th e F irs t Advent Jesus was widely m isunderstood as to th e purpose of His mission in His first coming, even among those who were nearest" to Him. His second ad vent is equally misunderstood. 1. They understood not th a t saying, Mk. 9:32. 2. They understood not, and it was hid from them . Lk. 9:45. 3. They understood not what things they were which He spake unto them . Jn. 10:6. 4. They understood none of these things. Lk. 18:34. 5. These things understood not His disciples a t first.
