HILLSIDE RECREATION CENTER & PARK
Hillside Recreation Center is located just off Fletcher Parkway on Buena Terrace where youth and families can enjoy the beautiful park setting, walk along trails and/or take in assorted classes and youth sports programs taught by professional, talented, and caring staff. Well-presented and functional meeting rooms can be rented on a space-available, reservation basis for your next group meeting or special event!

Beginner Guitar (#38520) Beginner Ukulele (#38521)

REC N ROLL MUSIC PROGRAM This course is intended for youth participants that are new to learning the guitar or ukulele. The ten-week session will focus on learning guitar basics from playing single notes to strumming chords. The class will be working their way to performing a small recital for parents and family at the end of the session. Participants are encouraged to bring their own guitar or ukulele and will need them in order to practice at home. Limited guitars and/or ukuleles will be available during class use if a participant does not bring one.

Great Camp Turkey Trot Come join us for a morning of crafts, games, food, music and more! Campers will participate in numerous activities led by our outstanding camp counselors. If you have a child between the ages of 5-13, sign them up for a morning of nonstop fun! Camp begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. Snacks will be provided! Come join the fun! Fee: $10

INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES In addition to recreation center-based activities, the fee-based classes listed below are offered at Hillside Recreation Center. Additional information about each class is found throughout this brochure. Please call the Registration Office at (619) 441-1516 if you have questions about any of these activities.
Hidden among the residential streets off Marshall Avenue, you can enjoy a beautiful grassy area and spend some quality time with your child on the playground. Give your child’s imagination a special treat. The Parks & Recreation Department can answer any questions at (619) 441-1744.
This distinctive park on the western hillside along Fletcher Parkway features 19+ acres of multi- level terrain left largely in its natural landscape and vegetation. The upper park offers picnicking, walking trails, and a peaceful atmosphere, even a glimpse of a cottontail rabbit or squirrel running through the eucalyptus grove. The lower park has a large grassy playing field and restrooms. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in parks and recreation centers in El Cajon.
