The 25-yard pool has five lanes ranging from three to four and a half feet in depth, which makes it an ideal instructional pool. Our emphasis is on swim lessons and introducing children to aquatic environments. Swim lessons follow the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety curriculum, and all swim instructors are American Red Cross certified. FLETCHER HILLS POOL

PARENT AND TOT SWIM LESSONS (Ages 6 months to 3 Years) This class allows parents to join their children as they explore movement in the water. Instructors focus on activities that promote water adjustment, self-confidence, and water safety skills. Children enrolled in this class must wear a swim diaper. DESCRIPTION OF FLETCHER HILLS AQUATICS CLASSES PRESCHOOL AQUATICS (Ages 3 to 5 years) This class provides pre-school aged children with water adjustment, water safety skills, and an introduction to fundamental swimming skills in a fun environment. Children who are not fully potty trained are required to wear a swim diaper. We maintain a 5 to 1 student to instructor ratio. LEARN TO SWIM LESSONS (Ages 6 to 12 years) This class is for children with no swimming experience up to advanced swimmers. Instructors conduct a swim evaluation on the first day of class and place participants into smaller combo instructional groups that cover curriculum from the American Red Cross Levels one to four. We maintain a 7 to 1 student to instructor ratio. PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS (Ages 5+ years) This class provides participants of all ages more focused instruction with an opportunity to receive extra attention, practice, and specific skill refinement. Families can add a second and third student with similar swim ability for free. Call (619) 441-1672 for more information about adding additional students at no cost. SWIM TEAM (Ages 6 to 13 years) This class is for proficient swimmers who want a structured workout and stroke refinement in a non-competitive setting. Participants must have passed Level 4 of the Learn to Swim program to participate. WATER AEROBICS (Ages 15+ years) This class provides a low-impact, high-resistance workout in a social setting. No swimming experience is necessary. A paying adult must accompany any participants under 18 years.
