K-Salt® Fruit Fix® 800 Plant Growth Regulator— Control Pre-Harvest Fruit Drop

K-Salt® Fruit Fix® 800 is used for controlling pre-harvest drop of apples and pears and is an auxin hormone-type product powered by potassium salt of naphthaleneacetic acid. K-Salt Fruit Fix 800 may be applied by air or ground equipment.  Harvest management  Avoid yield loss from premature fruit drop How To Use K-Salt Fruit Fix 800 applications can be made in as little as 50 gallons of water per acre and up to 400 gallons of water per acre. Applications are highly dependent on type of equipment used and density of the foliage. When controlling fruit drop, refer to the specimen label and recommendations on varieties, climatic factors, dosage, tree vigor and fruit set before choosing the desired rate and correct timing for application.

• Apply 7–14 days prior to harvest • Separate sprays should be applied to early- and late-maturing varieties • Do not make more than 2 applications per season and do not delay picking beyond optimum maturity • Effective 3–4 days after application and controls drop for 2 weeks • Apply 4–8 fl oz/A in sufficient water to ensure good coverage for ground applications NOTE: Apply 8 fl oz/A under normal conditions • Apply 4–8 fl oz in at least 5 gallons of water per acre for aerial applications • Aircraft should utilize spray equipment which gives thorough coverage to all portions of the trees • Apply only when weather conditions favor minimal spray drift • Use lower rates for normal foliate and fruiting and higher rates for dense foliage and heavy fruiting
