and personal stories —the photos and stories from Erdrich’s childhood and adulthood, as well as her gr owing relationship with food and stories of other Indigenous people’s relationships with Indigenous foods, make this more than your average cookbook. Erdrich is a member of the North Dakota Turtle Mountain Band of the Ojibwe people and is based in south Minneapolis. The book can be purchased from Birchbark Books, the bookstore Erdrich owns in Minneapolis, and on the store’s website.
