EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS ADVANCEMENTS NEW

Roxy & Noah VanWetten NEVADA A Sweet Celebration

Their corporate employment didn’t give them any extra advantages as new business builders other than a deep belief in the products and Melaleuca’s leadership simply because they had been directly exposed to those things for a year. Like any new business builder, they had to develop many new skills to become effective and successful Marketing Executives. Noah and Roxy say that Maria and Frank Mosca are incredible mentors who have become like family to them. They also credit Executive Director 2 Gursh Sagoo as being a huge part of their development as leaders. In the past four years, Noah and Roxy have experienced times of exciting momentum and frustrating flat spots. Ultimately, they know that success at Melaleuca boils down to being coachable, consistent, and accountable. Roxy and Noah focus on enrolling at least eight new customers every month. “It’s a very delayed-gratification business,” Roxy says. “Looking back, I see that the momentum we experienced this last month came from calls I made in January. Whatever you do—or don’t do—will give you results in six months.” Since enrolling four years ago, Roxy and Noah have looked forward to the day that they would receive a call from CEO Frank VanderSloot telling them that they had advanced to Executive Director. “I heard that Frank once told someone to go get an ice cream cone with their family,” Roxy says. “We love that Melaleuca is centered on families.” So when Frank congratulated Roxy and Noah and suggested they go celebrate, they knew just what to do. “We went through the drive-thru that night and got ourselves ice cream cones,” says Roxy. “It was a magical moment.” Noah agrees. “It was the most anticipated ice cream cone of all time.” LH

Executive Directors Roxy and Noah VanWetten were completing their college education at a university in southeast Idaho when they applied for jobs at a company called Melaleuca. Noah was hired as a cost analyst. A little while later, Roxy started in Business Development and then was promoted to be the administrative assistant of Darrin Johnson, the Sr. Vice President of Sales. As employees, Noah and Roxy experienced all that Melaleuca has to offer—great products, strong management, and an uplifting culture. Noah saw some great improvements to his health when he began taking the Peak Performance Pack . Roxy became familiar with the Compensation Plan and got to rub shoulders with Marketing Executives. A desire to build their own Melaleuca business began to blossom. As they sat in the audience at January Launch 2016 and listened to National Director 7 Maria Mosca speak, their minds were made up. “Since Melaleuca corporate employees aren’t allowed to also be Marketing Executives, we decided that I better start interviewing for other jobs so we could ultimately build a Melaleuca business,” Noah says. After finding new employment, they contacted Maria and asked her to enroll them.

going to Convention right after enrolling. Maria wouldn’t take no for an answer, so they went. “It changed everything,” Roxy says. “Now we tell everyone to go. We’re like Mr. and Mrs. Convention!”
