ReTain® Plant Growth Regulator for California
Nut set
ReTain extends the bloom viability and delays senescence of flowers, increasing the potential for pollination, and in turn, nut set. Almonds: Apply 1 pouch (333g)/A between 10% bloom and full bloom. Best results observed at 30–60% bloom. ReTain consistently increases nut set in walnut orchards that suffer from low nut set due to Pistillate Flower Abscission (PFA). Walnuts: Apply 1–2 pouches (333–666g)/A between 5–30% and 45–65% pistillate (female flower) bloom. REI: 12 hours.
