Water Management Requirements Do not drain Bolero UltraMax -treated fields for a minimum of 30 days after application, except where the County Agricultural Commissioner may allow shorter water holding periods for hydrologically isolated fields, or for fields associated with systems designed to isolate discharged water from natural bodies of water. Examples of such systems include tailwater recovery systems for single or multiple fields, and use of fallow land for ponding discharge water. Contact the County Agricultural Commissioner for further information on acceptable water management practices. Other Important Information Prior to Use • Attend an annual Mandatory Thiobencarb Stewardship meeting and obtain current certification or contact your Ag Commissioner’s office for alternative options • Review Water Management Requirements and State/County-mandated permit conditions from your local Ag Commissioner
• Understand that any early release of water from a Bolero UltraMax - treated rice field without County Ag Commissioner approval could result in a fine, and a prohibition of discharge administered by the Central Valley Regional Water Board if water quality objectives are not met • Maintain 3–4 inches of water in a well prepared and packed seedbed • Follow State/County-mandated permit conditions for proper drain and weir box procedures • Continue to hold water, limit water movement as much as possible • Allow rice plants to grow through the water • Do not stress rice plants with deep water conditions; be cautious of adding too much water
