New regulations from California Department of Pesticide Regulations (CDPR) affecting neonicotinoid use in crops became effective January 1, 2024. These regulations have crop-specific application rate and timing instructions. Growers must adhere to these regulations and they may be more restrictive than the label. www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/enforce/neonicotinoid/neonicotinoid_regulations.htm Valent U.S.A. offers two neonicotinoid-containing products that are impacted by these new regulations: Belay® Insecticide and Venom® Insecticide. The Belay and Venom labels will not reflect these new regulations because they are only for California. To adhere to the new regulations, please follow the program options for Belay and/or Venom applications listed below. In addition, Senstar® Insecticide provides control of vine mealybug in grapes and can be used in a program approach between soil and foliar applications of neonicotinoids.
