PAUL'S FAREWELL TO THE ELDERS OF EPHESUS Acts 20:17-38 1. Paul’s evangelistic zeal (vs. 18- 27 ) . 2. Paul’s pastoral faithfulness (v. 28 ) . 3. Paul’s prophetical warning (vs. 29, 30). 4. Paul’s unreserved surrender (vs. 31-35). 5. Valedictory scenes (vs. 36-38). CHRIST— THE REVELATION OF GOD I. God /s Invisible (Ex. 33:20; John 1:18; Col. 1:15; 1 Tim. 6:16; 1 John 4:12). II. The Son Reveals the Father (John 1:18 — “ declared,” i.e., “ shown forth” ; Col. 1:15; 2 :9 ; Heb. 1:2, 3). III. To See Christ Is to See God (John 12:45; 14-8, 9 ). IV. Practical Application. 1. The redeemed expect to see Christ sitting in His Father’s throne (Rev. 3:21; 22:4). 2. The lost will see Christ’s face in judgment (Jude 14, 15; Rev. 1 :7 ; 6 :16 ,17 ). — Ralph H. Didier. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever be- lieveth in him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:14, 15). And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die (John 12:32, 33). I. Christ Must Be Lifted Up as the Serpent Was in the Wilderness 1. As a remedy for sin. 2. As a full and adequate remedy. 3. As a present remedy. 4. As a divinely certified remedy. 5. As one crucified for the sins of men. II. Christ Must Be Looked at When He Is Lifted Up 1. Look, expecting divine power to save. 2. Looking to Jesus implies that we look away from ourselves. 3. Salvation must be the object for which we look. 4. Sinners must look to Christ as a remedy for all sin. 5. Sinners may look at once with out the least delay. 6. Must look to faith not works for blessings. — Charles G. Finney THE SAVIOUR LIFTED UP A N D THE LOOK OF FAITH

QUESTION has become impossible to evade in recent months as children are brought to the Indo-Burma Pioneer Mission compound from famine-stricken areas in In d ia .. .and the food crisis continues! Because we cannot absorb these destitute children without help, a new outreach of IBPM has been formed. PARTNERSHIP PARENTS Under this plan, American and Overseas (Indian) parents enter into partnership for the care of these children, with IBPM making the necessary contacts and supervising the program. It works this w a y . . . NEEDY CHILDREN are placed in the homes of Indian Christians where their needs are provided for in the atmosphere of a normal home. INDIAN PARTNERSHIP PARENTS agree to feed, clothe and educate the child, and give full parental care. AMERICAN PARTNERSHIP PARENTS share by providing $10.00 each month for the support of the child. They receive his name and photograph and may correspond with him and his Indian foster parents through IBPM. WHAT IS THE WORTH OF A CHILD? Is he worth an investment? An involvement ?
