FBI DIRECTOR’S COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AWARD
Given annually to recognize individuals and organizations that make extraordinary contributions toward education and the prevention of crime and violence in our communities. Lillian was awarded for the partnership she led between the FBI and TPT NOW to provide audiences with information on hate crimes and hate crime reporting. The messages reached nearly 1 million people and led to a 32% increase in hate crime reporting in Minnesota by helping members of our community feel more comfortable contacting law enforcement when hate crimes were experienced.
