GREETINGS H H H
Dear Philadelphia Marathon Weekend Participants, On behalf of the City of Philadelphia, it is my honor to welcome you to the 31st running of the AACR Philadelphia Marathon! This year’s AACR Philadelphia Marathon is especially meaningful for me as it is my first official Philadelphia Marathon Weekend as your 100th Mayor of Philadelphia. This event embodies the spirit of “One Philly, a United City!”— where participants, families, and friends from all walks of life come together in a shared celebration of endurance, camaraderie, and pride. For the first time since its inception in 1994, all three races—the AACR Philadelphia Marathon, the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon, and the Rothman Orthopaedics 8K—have sold out. This remarkable achievement speaks to the exceptional caliber of our race weekend and is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our City of Philadelphia staff, who have worked hard to make this one of the premier race weekends in the nation. As you navigate the course, passing some of Philadelphia’s most cherished landmarks and neighborhoods, your friends, family, and all of Philadelphia will be proudly cheering and celebrating your accomplishments as you cross that final stretch.
I wish each of you the best of luck and a memorable experience in our great City of Philadelphia. Welcome, and may you enjoy a truly unforgettable race weekend! Sincerely, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, City of Philadelphia
