Hello Runners, Welcome to Philadelphia and welcome to the 2024 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend! This year we are celebrating a sold-out race weekend with the largest participation to date. The weekend will be full of exciting events including the Philadelphia Marathon Health & Fitness Expo, the Nemours Children’s Run, the Rothman Orthopaedics 8K, the Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Half Marathon, AACR Philadelphia Marathon. We know that you will have a fun, safe and quality experience throughout the race weekend. We’re thrilled to welcome participants from around the world to Philadelphia’s Marathon Weekend. The energy and spirit of Marathon Weekend in Philadelphia are truly unmatched. As we celebrate the 31st running of the AACR Philadelphia Marathon, I invite everyone to join us along the race route to experience the excitement, inspiration, and unity that resonates throughout each neighborhood. We’re proud to partner with our community to deliver an exhilarating and unforgettable weekend for all. Our continued commitment to improvement led to the implementation of prize money and awards in the Open Division. This new change celebrates a broader array of participants. We feel that the increased interest and participation in our race, reflected by all three sold-out race events, is a direct acknowledgment that Philadelphia hosts one of the top races in the country. Finally, we’d like to issue a huge thank you to our executive team and our partners who helped to make this race happen, their commitment to creating a quality experience shows through every aspect of this event.
