on June 3. The annual event entertained guests with a production of “Clues Lead to Murder at the Down Town Abbey”, written by Laurie McRae-Bingley and performed by the talented Murder on the Funny Side Theatre Productions. In this interactive theatre experience set in the 1920s and themed after Downton Abbey, guests were invited to help the local constabulary solve a gruesome murder that has occurred at Lord CrawToMe’s Manor. A cast of familiar characters entertained and investigated, but solving a murder is no easy feat; the audience was kept guessing, and even became part of the plot. Aside from the production, guests were treated to a delicious four-course dinner by Traiteur La Bonne Bouffe Catering, live music will be provided by Ice – No Slice, and a litany of prizes, raffles, and auctions hosted by local auctioneer Brendon Scheepers. At the end of the night, the event had raised a total of $40,529 for the WDMH Foundation’s Family Care Fund. “The Family Care Fund supports families just like yours and mine. Donations are used where needed most - to buy new medical equipment, upgrade existing equipment or meet other urgent needs at WDMH,” said Managing Director Kristen Casselman. “We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support this evening, and help solve the mystery!”
