THE NO-COMPROMISE RETIREMENT PLAN • 89
nearly a third of their lives in retirement. That means you could have a third of your life to consider when choosing how to manage your finances going forward. If you’re like me, you’ve been dutifully saving in a 401(k) or IRA. And it can feel nerve-wracking to consider changing courses — especially this late in the game. But a third of your life may be ahead of you! And NOW is the time for action. I will end with this promise: if you evaluate your retirement account on the three compromises we’ve discussed — growth and security, income and legacy, your income and your taxes — you will approach retirement with a clear picture of where you are. And, if you believe as I do in the power of IUL we’ve discussed in this book, you can create a better plan to get where you want to be. This is my story. I look forward to helping you write a happy ending to yours.
