NATIONAL DIRECTOR 5 Krista Wineinger

DIRECTOR 5 Phebe Simmons

DIRECTOR Bernadette Bullock

Fresh out of college, Bernadette was set on launching a career in the field of psychology. But, while volunteering for a national organization as a fundraising developer, she connected with community leaders and professionals who were working together to improve her community. Through this experience, Bernadette adjusted her plans and found a new calling in social work. She worked with the same organization for years. Additionally, she has worked with children and families to ensure safe, positive home environments.

Phebe has worked in the field of social work for over 20 years. Having earned degrees in education, she started her career as an educator but quickly saw a more expansive need in her community. She began working with students of all ages who were coping with generational poverty and lacked proper learning skills. Today Phebe is the executive director of a national program affiliate with a focus on helping homeless children and their parents. Her program helps these youth get back onto their feet over a 90-day period. She works with local media, donors, and the program’s board of directors. As a Melaleuca Marketing Executive who enrolled in March 2022, Phebe draws on her years of doing good as she builds relationships and finds ways to help families with Melaleuca.

Krista’s interest in social work traces back to her childhood. She herself was adopted, and her adoptive parents assisted other children through foster care. Those selfless acts made a lasting impression on Krista. She decided that she too wanted to be part of any profession that could make a difference for kids and families—especially those who needed outside support. During her years as a social worker, Krista’s specialty was working with families and kids. At the time she was introduced to Melaleuca, she was running a county-based mentoring program with a team of volunteers. They were making a difference for dozens of participants. In Melaleuca, Krista quickly identified a way to earn extra income to help pay the bills—and another way to help families find greater wellness and hope.

Today, she’s a disaster case manager helping victims of

disasters get their lives back to normal—and she’s building her Melaleuca business. She enrolled in April 2022 and as a result has found one more way to help families change their lives.
