To cover unanticipated expenses that require money prior to payday, employees can access a portion of their earned wages (no more than 50%) during the current pay period for a fee of $1 per $100 borrowed. To support continuing education and professional development, employees are eligible for up to $5,250 per calendar year for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, and up to $10,000 per year for a Master’s degree up to $30,000 total. To accommodate the needs of our employee parents, Frontier Co-op operates a licensed onsite childcare center at our headquarters in Norway, Iowa. For employees who choose other DHS-certified providers, we offer childcare reimbursement.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
For significant life events – such as the employee’s wedding, graduation, per- sonal legal business, transitioning a parent or spouse to a long-term care facility, jury/witness duty, bereavement, and parental leave – we offer paid time off. Employees receive eight hours of paid time per fiscal year to volunteer with a registered non-profit organization of their choice. Paid volunteer time can be used any time, including off shifts and weekends.
