SECONDARY GUARDING DEVICE BOOMS Summit Platforms offers an electronic secondary guarding device on all boom type MEWPs. Our devices are approved by the equipment manufacturers. They consist of a sensitive edge situated in front of the controls. When an entrapment situation is detected the sensitive edge acts as an emergency stop, preventing further entrapment from occurring. It also has an alarm and flashing beacon to attract the attention of colleagues on the ground who can enact the emergency lowering procedure.
ULTRASONIC SECONDARY GUARDING - SCISSOR LIFTS
Summit Platforms offer an ultrasonic secondary guarding device for scissor lifts and vertical mast lifts. The system consists of an ultrasonic sensor which can provide additional protection against the risk of collision or entrapment In the event an operator becomes close to an overhead object the system will warn the operator via an audible alarm and will disable the lift function.
INTELLIGENT ANCHOR POINT Our intelligent anchor point stops the MEWP’s operation until the operator attaches their carabiner. Our intelligent anchor point is permanently shackled to the MEWP’s anchor point and wired electronically into the MEWP’s function controls. This device is compatible with all machines.
