High level understanding and introduction of the circular economy and its application in a large complex dynamic organisation Successful experience of influencing, persuading and encouraging adoption of new ideas and processes across a wide range of departments Experience ofproducing high quality reports, and giving clear oral reports/presentations Good knowledge of the statutory compliance and practical aspects of waste management Successful leadership showing a positive growth mindset as a demonstrable strength Comprehensive understanding of waste hierarchy, mechanisms for reducing waste arising and how to monitor / measure arising against targets Experience of managing and monitoring external contractors Experience of collecting and analysing data Development of responsible consumption and waste management strategies The successful management and planning of budgets Successful management of projects Experience of Higher Education or similar large complex estates such as NHS Setting up environmental sustainability events and initiatives Developing high level regional and national networks within the sector and outside of the sector Experience line managing staff An appropriate first degree in an environmental sustainability related discipline An appropriate professional qualification, to chartered level (CEnv, MIEMA etc), in an environmental sustainability related discipline demonstrating extensive experience in
