These are the highlights from INUKA’s 9th Annual Gala and SQ4 Event that stood out for me:
1. Spreading a message of unity and supporting each other on a personal level through ups and downs will deliver exceptional teams. 2. The ability to give and to build up lives outweigh the benefit of receiving recognition and rewards. 3. Telling yourself you are going to ‘... insert dream...’, keeps the door open even if you don’t yet have the answers on how to do it. 4. So many lives found meaning and self-worth whilst empowering their family and those around them. I am left with an immense sense of gratitude for all those pioneering the vision of INUKA to Value, Encourage and Empower the Lives they touch. I wish to thank all the INUKA staff that work behind the scenes daily. It truly is a high paced environment. Thank you to all INUKA Business Leaders. You are remarkable! We are daily touched by your messages of inspiration and positive change. MAY ALL OF US RISE AS WE BUILD ON BEING BRAVE AND BOLD TO LIVING OUR BEST LIVES.

I have many memorable moments of Gala 2019. The one that stands out most was the Top 5 Candle Ceremony because this level of respect given to these hard-working Members is incredible. Just to also see so many Members being excited and happy made me realize how important my job at INUKA is. I love what I do because I am dedicated to giving the best possible service to our Members. I always try to give 250 % effort to ensure that all Members get their orders on time without any defects. It is an honour to witness our Members being empowered.

The Top 25 Business Leader Announcements was my personal and very emotional highlight. I noticed the uniqueness and diversity of the Members that received this recognition; brand-new Members, long-standing Members and Members from different countries and cultures. It shows that the will to win, the desire to succeed and the urge to reach your full potential are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence. INUKA as always, awarded our Top 25 Members beyond their expectations with a surprize and unexpected extra R25 000 cash each. The growth and transformation of our Members inspires me. I see myself as a farmer who sows seeds during the year with my mentorship and harvests at Gala. The difference is that for the years that I have been with INUKA, I have never experienced a drought. It has always been a bumper harvest. I know that when I motivate and encourage Members, I can know for sure that whatever INUKA has promised to award our Members that they will receive it on time every time. For the new INUKA Year, I am inspired by Leo Buscaglia: “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around”.
