MEMORY VERSE: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations” (Matt. 28:19). Just after the great missionary, Paul, found the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour, the Lord spoke about him to another Christian: “He is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name be fore the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel”' (Acts 9:15). We have learned from God’s Word that Paul was faithful in doing the thing that God had planned that he should do with his life. He told many people of all races the story of the Lamb of God. For a time Paul preached only to the Jewish people; but because many of them refused to believe the Gospel message, he at last started preaching to the Gentiles also. Toward the close of Paul’s life, he was a prisoner in Rome, a prisoner be cause he had told others about his Lord! Even there, where he lived in his own house, although he was guard ed, he preached the Gospel for two years to all who came to see him. How faithful Paul had been in carrying out the last commandment of the Lord Jesus before He returned to His Father in Heaven! The Saviour had said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations.” Paul, the man who had ordered Christians to be killed, had given his life to the Saviour, and had continually preached the Gospel until the day of his death. What would have happened if Paul had been selfish like many Christians and had not both ered to tell anyone else of his Lord? Thousands of souls would not have been saved and several of the books in the New Testament would never have been written. Are you willing to be as faithful as was God’s servant, Paul, about telling others of Jesus, the Friend of all? CHRISTIAN SUPPLIES Visit or write us for Bibles, books.
