Green Bay Packaging (GBP) continues to lead in sus- tainability, propelled by innovative initiatives and cut- ting-edge technology, consistently pushing the frontiers of environmental stewardship. At GBP’s Wisconsin 100 percent recycled paper mill, a biogas generator for increasing onsite renewable elec- tricity was installed to further decarbonization. Compa- ny-wide, GBP grows trees on more than 250,000 acres of sustainably managed forests, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable forest practices with benefits to environ- ment and communities. GBP continues its zero waste to landfill initiative, with 99 percent landfill diversion across paper converting, fold- ing carton, coated products (Green Bay) and lumber oper- ations. Each year at the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Coun- cil’s Annual Conference, the achievements of member companies are recognized and celebrated. This year’s conference was held on November 13th at Harley-David- son Garage in Milwaukee.
