In the Rochester area, small businesses may be interested in two other DEED grant programs. Specifically, DEED is proud to partner with Destination Medical Center to provide Main Street Economic Revitalization awards to businessowners looking to grow and expand. And the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation is implementing the Minnesota PROMISE Act, which provides working capital to eligible businesses to cover expenses that occur in the regular course of business.

“While there’s no telling what curveballs the future may bring, Minnesota’s diverse economy overall
and the Rochester region’s unique strength in particular have positioned us well to weather these uncertain times,” Varilek says.
