Now, as commissioner, Varilek has the privilege of representing DEED in front of the Legislature, on trade missions abroad, and at engagements with Minnesota community and business leaders around the state. “I consider it a key part of my job to connect with the people our programs serve, so I value any chance I get to hear from Minnesotans impacted by our work,” Varilek says.
