SUSPICIOUS MAIL AND PACKAGE GUIDELINES 1. Handle with care. Do not shake or bump. 2. Do not open, smell, touch, or taste. 3. Isolate the mail or package. 4. Call law enforcement authorities first, then notify postal authorities and Local Fire Department or HAZMAT Unit if appropriate. 5. Thoroughly wash hands and other exposed skin areas. 6. If a bomb, evacuate the area immediately. Follow EVACUATION / LOCKDOWN / CLOSURE in this manual.
