COMMUNICATING WITH GUESTS IF CONFIRMED VIRAL OUTBREAK When it is suspected that there is a viral outbreak, a senior hotel manager (GM or MOD) will make a judgment on informing all guests staying in the hotel, particularly guests exiting and arriving. • The Hotel, Atrium Hospitality, and a Franchisor can face criticism or consequences if we withhold information about a potential outbreak or give out factually incorrect information. • If determined to be unrelated to food contamination, a communication should inform guests the illness is a virus spread from person to person.
