Our annual transition lunch was held February 15, 2023, at Maggiano’s Little Italy, Downtown Denver. DADOA was very happy to welcome our members back to an in-person luncheon on January 25, 2023. Bresee Carlson, Partner of Kuiper Law Firm PLLC was our speaker. Her topic was “Rights, Obligations and Implications of Spousal Relationships Across Western Producing States”. This was also DADOA’s charity luncheon for Oilfield Helping Hands - Rockies. Sean Neihoff,Vice President of OHH - Rockies was able to join us and he was presented with generous donations from our membership. We had a very good turnout, and it was great to see people again. We are planning an all-day Escheat Seminar on April 19, 2023. It will be held at the offices of KPMG LLC with speakers that are experts on this often-daunting topic. We’re hoping to draw attendees from many oil & gas disciplines as well as those outside the industry dealing with unclaimed property issues. We want to take this time to congratulate Stephanie Moore on becoming a lifetime member of HADOA. She is an example of a leader and is always willing to step up when needed and is a great person to know. Also, congratulations to Coterra Energy for winning the first annual company of the year award. Coterra, a new company, has made strides and has come out swinging.They support many of their employees, who are members of HADOA and NADOA, in leadership roles. Also at the Holiday Luncheon, the 2022 NADOA Education Award was presented to Yoli Bazan, as she was unable to attend Institute.
As Cyrus Perkins is becoming 1st Vice President, his job is to bring you educational speakers for luncheons and seminars.The primary focus is on getting back to education and scheduling speakers that will help to grow the career of Division Order Analyst, no matter what level your career has reached. 2023 is the 50th Anniversary of NADOA and 40th Anniversary for HADOA, so we plan on bringing the very best the industry has to offer and present it in a way that’s both educational and entertaining.We look forward to seeing everyone at the NADOA Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Happy New Year from HADOA! As we welcome in the 2023 HADOA Board of Directors, we are elated about what the new year is going to bring us.As we reflect on 2022, we noticed attendance at in- person luncheons and seminars began to increase back to pre-Covid levels. We had our annual HADOA Holiday Luncheon at the Petroleum Club of Houston, and we raised $2,428 for PTSD Foundation of America: Camp Hope
