2023 Q1

and political issues that were at hand at that time. So as you can see, I feel that although 40 years is very significant in actuality it was 44 years. Many of the original founding fathers are no longer with us and many others have retired into the twilight of life without fanfare. There were numerous people both in and out of the Division Order Profession who contributed greatly to NADOA’s recognition in the industry and the quality of its goals. The core group (today’s nomenclature folks “in the cloud”) consisted of people such as Pierce Cantrell, Horace Olson, Cass Peters, George Trevett, Jo Collier, C.T.Wright, J. Richard Green, Harry Lacy, Jack Norton, Clarence Blackstock, Nancy Fractor and Roy Griffin. There were many other contributors not only in Division Order functions but land, administrative, and even outside organizations such as Ellis Rudy, Nina Anderson, etc., who offered much support as well. All of these folks had the heart and the willingness to initiate a nucleus for the formation of a professional group to be called National Association of Division Order Analysts. All should feel a great pride in their efforts to maintain NADOA and more particularly pride in its longevity. I personally feel an emotional connectivity to NADOA from the beginning to now. Good luck to all, hope to see you soon.

At the 2013 NADOA Institute, Al was honored with a Founding Member award. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to those who worked so determinedly to establish NADOA on behalf of and to benefit the Division Order profession.

Sincerely, Al Worley
