Congratulations! Peggy Gallagher for recognition in Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal’s Executive Women in Business Spotlight!

1984 with my family I relocated to the Philadelphia area. I began my career as a Commercial Real Estate agent with Reed & Stambaugh’s Cherry Hill Office. It wasn’t until 1997 that I founded PG Commercial Real Estate Inc., which in 2006 became the exclusive Affiliate of ITRA Global for the Philadel- phia Region. What challenges an/or obstacles do you feel you needed to overcome to become as successful as you are today? Obstacles and personality quirks – I had to overcome being extremely shy, and fearful of rejection and failure. In the 80’s it was challenging to be taken seriously as a women in the male dominated industry of commercial real estate. A reoccurring challenge, like any profession, is the continual need to be re-educated. Do you feel being a woman is an advantage in today’s business world? Why? Why not? Yes. Success is not assigned only to one gender. Men and women are different. Business is about relationships, trust, experience and knowledge. A woman’s approach or how she handles a situation or success makes her unique. There are no limitations on success and women prove that every day. Who do you feel was most influential in your life when choosing this profession? It is difficult to point to anyone person. I have relatives that were suc- cessful in business and sectors of the real estate business. I had a stubborn vision and belief that I could be successful in starting a career in commercial real estate as a sales associate, raise my children, and complete my college degree at LaSalle University at the same time. I was able to accomplish all of that with the love and support from family and friends. Two individuals in particular gave me a lot of emotional support, and good business ideas, my husband Tom Vezzosi, and my Dad who we lost in 2010. n
