Wilmington Country Club Employee Monday Golf

Rules for Employee Golf

Employees are eligible to play golf each Monday the golf course is open. The first tee opens at 10 a.m.

Please be mindful of the following rules:

1. All employees must present themselves to check-in with the Member Service Golf Staff at the Bag Room counter. Only current employees are eligible to play. Guests are never permitted.

2. Employees may use the small practice putting green by the first tee prior to the round. Employees may not utilize the practice range or short game practice areas. 3. All play always begins on the #1 tee. When arriving at the first tee, if members are present, they have priority on the tee. 4. All employees must walk and carry their bag. No golf carts or trolleys are permitted. Every player in the group must have their own golf bag.

5. Employees must follow the attire guidelines:

Golfers are required to observe good taste and dress appropriately when using the golf facilities. Clothing should be clean and fit properly. Items of clothing not considered appropriate include: blue jeans/dungarees, “short” shorts, mini-skirts, cut-offs, running shorts, fitness attire, tennis outfits, flip flops or bare feet, swimwear, t-shirts, sweat shirts, tank tops, sport jerseys, bare midriff tops, and excessively baggy or ripped clothing. Men’s shirts must have a collar. Women’s collarless shirts must have sleeves to avoid similarity to tank tops. Shirts should be worn tucked in with the exception of a style that is designed to be worn out.

Golf caps should be worn facing forward and removed indoors.

Anyone who is inappropriately attired will be asked to discontinue their use of the golf facilities.

6. Voice use of any electronic devices is not permitted on the golf course.

7. Employees may use the restrooms by the #1 and #10 tee, and also the lower floor of the Pool Café behind #18 green on the North Course. They should not enter the Clubhouse.

8. Golfers must play at a prompt pace, keeping up with the group in front of them.

9. Golfers are expected to follow proper golf etiquette, including replacing all divots, repairing ball marks, and neatly raking bunkers.
