Sponsored the remit of the programme which had a vision to place teams closer to the passenger experience. Achieved a 45% reduction of medium and high potential safety incidents across the network during a time when the Covid-19 pandemic was threatening the rail industry’s ability to innovate. Led the Southern Region of Network Rail as Gold Commander from July 2022, throughout the long-running industrial dispute with trade unions. Set up a crisis management team with a strategy to engage the workforce, and protect employees, passengers and stakeholders from adverse impacts.
