hidden the furs. We brought them back to the ranch and got there just before noon. So I fixed a bite to eat and then we headed for Sand Lake by way of Coyote Springs. I loaned Freddie a saddle horse and I rode Deerfoot. It was evening when we r e a c h e d T r a p p e r Tom’s place. What a big happy surprise! He was just as jubilant over getting his furs back as he was despondent over losing them. We had supper with Trapper Tom and at the same time the three of us had a long heart-to-heart talk. Freddie was very repentant and pled for forgiveness. I wasn’t sure what would happen but I had a pretty good idea, knowing old Trap per Tom like I did. He was very quiet and thoughtful for what seemed like a long time before he said, “ Son, I’m a God-fearing man. And since it pleased Him to forgive me for my many trespasses against Him and even provide a Saviour for me, the Lord Jesus whom I accepted as a boy, I don’t see how I can do anything else but forgive you for trespassing against me.” When Trapper Tom finished say ing that Freddie jumped to his feet, rushed over and gave the old-timer a big hug and said, “ Thank you, thanks more' than I can say. And believe me, I’ll never steal again, nor gamble either.” Not only did Trapper Tom for give Freddie, but he asked him to stay until trapping season was over and help him take the furs to mar ket. Naturally, Freddie was glad to do that, not only because he needed a job but because he wanted to do something to show his appreciation and to let Trapper Tom know that he was really grateful. As I rode away from Sand Lake, I was thank ful for knowing a man like Trapper Tom and I was p r a y e r f u l for Freddie. And now that it’s time for me to be on my way from story Round up, I’m going to ride away, thankful for knowing boys and girls like you, and I want you to join me in being prayerful for boys and girls who may be in need of prayer like Fred die was. So long for now. See you next month, and in the meantime, remember to be good, just real good.

talking about? Wh a t do y ou mean?” He slowly raised his head and then looked at me curiously for a moment and said, “ You’re not the man who bought me a meal back at Coyote Springs?” “ Of course I am,” I said, “what’s so terrible about that?” Then with out another word from him, the whole affair took on a visible form in my mind. It all became clear to me as to what had happened after Freddie left Trapper Tom and me when he had finished eating. So it was my turn to say, “Oh no, no, it can’t be.” He looked at me with a startled expression and haltingly said, “What — what do you mean — what can’t be?” “ Can’t be, but it is. Yes, it is!” I exclaimed with a touch of excite ment. Before he had a chance to say anything I continued, “ God certainly has unusual ways of an swering prayer!” “What has God to do with it and prayer?” he said as he stood up and looked at me somewhat bewildered. “ Just what do you mean?” “Just this, Freddie. You stole Trapper Tom’s furs, got lost in the mountains, wandered around not knowing where you were going. But God did, and in answer to prayer He brought you here.” Freddie broke down and cried. Then he told me where he hid the furs. Said he didn’t know what ever came over him to steal them be cause he had never done anything like that before. He guessed it was all brought about by his having lost all his money and he was des perate. He was very fearful about what would happen and wanted to know what I thought. I told him it all depended on Trapper Tom. If he was so inclined he could make it pretty tough on him. Stealing a man’s furs was quite a serious of fense and could mean a long jail sentence. T he storm was over by next morn ing. After we had seen to it that the water holes were open and the cattle had access to some hay, Freddie took me to the place he had

T o most non-Jews in H ungary, Hebrew-Christians are Jews. T o the Jews they are Christians and apostates. They receive little benefit, therefore, from the world’s response to Hungary’s need for material relief. Through our missionary we are able to channel help to Hungary’s Hebrew- Christians from the only source to which they can look— the Christians of Amer ica with a heart burden for the Jews. Without that help their plight can only become steadily worse. W rite today to: D r. J a c o b G a r t e n h a u s , President
