NATIONAL EXTERNAL DIPLOMA PROGRAM NEDP is a high school program for adults who have acquired their academic skills through life and work experience. Participants in this program must demonstrate their skills through the successful completion of a series of assignments. Candidates must complete these assignments with 100% accuracy. This is an opportunity for candidates to work independently while maintaining bi-weekly appointments with their NEDP advisor/ assessor.

HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT DIPLOMA The Adult Education High School Credit Diploma is the same as a diploma awarded by Connecticut public high schools. The requirements for graduation are equivalent. The student must earn 25 credits.

* 4 English * 3 Social Studies * 1 Fine Arts * 1 Humanities Elective * 1 Black & Latino Studies * 1 Workforce Development * 2 Electives

* 3 Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics Electives: * 1 World Language * 1 Health & Safety * 1 Certification Course

Each class meets for two hours twice a week. Credits can be accumulated through previous educational, vocational, and life experience. Online classes may be available. Please bring your high school transcript to registration. Students 17 yrs. of age must provide an official withdrawal from their last high school attended. Withdrawal forms must be signed by a parent/legal guardian and school official. Registration 2 Hours Needed

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: CASAS READING SCORE: 236

CASAS MATH SCORE: 226 WRITING SCORE: 3 out of 5

Meeting sites: American Job Center, Kendall College & endall College & Career Academy, Norwalk High School, Old Town Hall, Rippowam Middle School, & Smilow Life Center. *Child care development available at Kendall College & Career Academy and Stamford Old Town Hall at night.

Classes are free of charge for Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton residents. Refundable book and computer deposits are required for all high school completion programs.
