What is your greatest pro- fessional accomplish- ment? I’m most proud of assisting andmentoring 30 women to achieve pro- fessional designations and careers in Property man- agement. When I started I was the first woman in NJ to achieve CAI’s PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) and there were no women in NJ who owner man- agement firms. Tell us how and when you began your career in the profession you are in, about your current position and why you choose the field/profession you are in today? I started out working for a developer – and I ran a cable TV studio. Part of my job was producing training videos of all aspects of prop- erty maintenance, My direct supervisor was in charge of the Association Management division and because I was training everyone, he sent me for my designation.. Then when the cable company was sold, I was transferred to staff serving a new large adult community. As the community and staff grew, so did my position- eventually I was responsible for 45 people ( from irrigation to garage maintenance.) I learned the business and developed new procedures and protocol and then started my own firm in 1986. SO although film and TV was my educational background ( plus NJ certifica- tion in Education) I could teach and lead, so starting my own firm that gave women more opportunities was my goal. I was able to utilize my past experience to lead

Kinsley’s efforts in the senior living market and in the Philadelphia region, closing the largest Philadelphia project and largest senior living client in company history. What inspiring word of advice would you give to a young executive graduating from college today? Keep learning, be confident and set goals – not only in business, but in life. I’ve had the opportunity to travel andmeet individuals from all over the world. Learning from their different perspectives and experiences helped me be successful in my career by gaining a better understanding of my vision for the future and where I want to be. I would encourage college graduates to travel and explore, experiencing different career paths and con- tinuing to learn from others to create the best path for their life and career.
