North American Compact Pressure Switches Specifications

These pressure switches are compact, easy to use, and offer a variety of setpoints and reset options. The state of the switch is indicated via an orange indicator light. Setpoint reading and adjustment are co-located on an easy to read dial. No vent is required with these switches since they include a restricting orifice that limits the leakage in the event of a diaphragm rupture. The restricting orifice also dampens the response to small pressure spikes, which prevents nuisance switch tripping. The switches can be mounted in any orientation (vertical mounting orientation is standard). When used with combustible gases installation of a conduit plug must be used (see NFPA 86 2011 4.1.3.2).
NOTE: Do not use with 1595 Double Shutoff Valves or 1597 Fuel Trains. See Sheet 1597-4.
CAUTION: Depending on the severity of some mechanical vibration, which may cause the pressure switch to break and remake momentarily, these switches may not be good for those types of applications.
